Massage Therapy
Massage techniques focus on addressing issues with the muscles, fascia, and other soft tissues.
At Schroeder Family Chiropractic, we feel that Chiropractic and Massage Therapy go hand-in-hand. Chiropractic techniques focus mainly on correcting misalignments of the spine and other joints, and Massage techniques focus on addressing issues with the muscles, fascia, and other soft tissues. Because muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments are attached to bones and joints, combining Chiropractic and Massage are complimentary to each other and can usually produce faster results. A misalignment can cause soft tissue to become tight and eventually lead to trigger points and decreased circulation in that area, while in turn, tight muscles and trigger points can cause misalignments and make it more difficult for the bones and joints to return to a normal position.
At our clinic, we utilize Licensed Massage Therapists (LMTs) who are skilled in a variety of hands-on massage techniques that aid in the rehabilitation process of the muscular system. The application of massage therapy is designed to decrease muscle tightness, muscle spasms, and scar tissue, improve range of motion, and decrease pain. It also increases circulation, which reduces swelling and inflammation and promotes healing by bringing water and nutrients to your tissues and removing waste products. Ultimately, Massage Therapy can help compliment your Chiropractic care and help you lead a more active lifestyle. Ask one of our Doctors if Massage Therapy is right for you!
